I hope this is the right place to post this. I don't like spamming groups but I think this might be useful for artists of all skill levels.

I've started a LJ community called the artgrind. The purpose for it is a progression blog for a specific artist challenge - draw the same character every day for six months, then trackback your progress to see: 1. How well you keep up with it. 2. The differences between the first few drawings and the last few drawings 3. And to get in general practice and consistency with a character's general looks and stuff.

We're going to start it June 1st, so anyone who wants to try the challenge is welcome to.

"I'd rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are; because a could-be is a maybe who is reaching for a star. I'd rather be a has-been than a might-have-been, by far; for a might have-been has never been, but a has was once an are." -Milton Berle

Six month?? Gah, that's a long time. Sounds interesting though. It's for doing established characters even? I've always wanted to learn how to draw Disney's Robin Hood. :) Hehe.

I've been watching this community for a while. I put my bid in for a spot, and didn't see my name on the list. But even so, I am still working on it from the side. Its HARD. But the stuff I see being produced is awesome!!

:) It is a good community to at least watch, and they even got an LJ front page blurb the first at one point!! Yeah being featured!

Look Ma! Its art!
