New Features

Some may have started to notice a few new features cropping up. Here are a couple of the more notable ones:

Chat

We now have an easy-to-use chat. Just click on the tab and go, provided you are logged in. Talk it up with your fellow artists, complain at the reviewers if they are about, and it opens up the possibility for real-time art games. (Do I hear "Ambush?")

[JaxPad users, we are still awaiting a license for jaxpad.com, so the annoying registration message will persist for a week or so. ArtSpots' chat tab is clear of this.]

Buy/Sell Originals

In addition to prints, you can now buy and sell originals through ArtSpots. Just click on the Originals tab under "My Home" for more info.

Widgets

I think Babbage covered this a few weeks back, but they are still neat! Click on "My Home" to play with them.

Things we expect to have up shortly: Detailed print info, including pricing pricing charts. A more comprehensive help system, which will start going over some of the more advanced (but optional and usually unseen) parts of the site.

So many updates! It's really wonderful to see how you guys are developing this site, it seems every time I look there's something new being updated. :)
I'd absolutely love to see a search by originals tab - like how you can search by prints or people offering commissions - that would be a nice thing to browse! I like to see what people have available.

Especially the yerf gallery. Unlike many artists, I don't mind my old art hanging around. I had SO MANY GOOD IDEAS back then that I seem to be lacking now, so I like looking at it for inspiration. I might end up redoing some of the pieces for kicks. :)

I'd like to HIGHLY RECOMMEND the chat!

A handful of us are in there regularily (Kitsumi, Higgins, myself, Jonas, etc) and even with the few o us, it can be a real fun place to be. :) It's most active in the evenings.

If you guys have your own IRC clients, you can also poke it by going to irc.anthrochat.net, channel #artspots.

I'm totally trying out the chat once I get a decent block of free time.

Oh yeah, the chat is addicting. I'm in there everyday and I can't leave! :) The people are way too fun to talk to and very friendly.
