Trading Post #21 Kyrahlynn

Time for another Trading Post! And this week our lucky winner is Kyrahlynn. Let's see what she has for us this week:

Thanks again, everybody, I'm so excited! I hope you guys aren't
getting sick of noir characters, 'cuz, well, that's what I've got XD

Toby Sharp is a 22-year-old private investigator from Chicago whose story begins in the fall of '37. He's a rather ironic character-despite the fact that foxes are known to be clever, sly, and agile, Toby is not the brightest fox around, is a perfect gentleman, and a horrendous klutz. Falling down the stairs is a regular habit of his. He's also not that great of a detective (though he has his moments) and it is up to his assistant and best friend Jason to keep him out of trouble. It's a task easier said than done, as Toby is very gutsy and often jumps right into the middle of dangerous situations. One thing he can actually do is shoot straight, though he has been know to accidentally trigger his gun in the past. Therefore Jason doesn't allow him keep it loaded most of the time.

As far as looks go, he's your typical red fox, though is very tall and lanky, with slightly large feet. When on the job he typically wears black pants, a white shirt, and a thin black tie. When relaxing, he normally wears a sweater-vest over his shirt rather than a tie. He also often wears a tan trench coat, as well as a dark-brown fedora.

Thanks! Just so you get it, one of the things wrong in the picture is, well, it's a MAN, baby! You said he was a gentleman, but you also said he wasn't too bright. ;) I'll try to make it more obvious...

ah, I see it now! Hehe, a guy in drag would definitely throw Toby for a loop XD As for the other wrong thing, I think I'll wager a guess- I see something sticking out of the waistband... so perhaps a dagger hilt, or possibly a revolver butt? If so, it looks like Tobe's in for a nasty surprise XD

He's like a maxwell smart fox. OK, this guy rocks. I'll see if I have some time to draw him in a situation he should probably be a little more concerned about.

Here we go! :) It doesn't show him being klutzy or gentleman-ly, but it's more of a character shot of him. :) I.. love..that background, although it kind of creeps me out, but I imagine Toby would be seen in these types of areas of town! I had way too much fun doing this! :D

Hey, some of us happen to like noir very much. Here's a sketch of a little more Frank Miller-esque interpretation of Toby, unwinding a little after what is clearly a very bad day.
