Even though they are toony, I think these would probably be pretty good pictures to apply with, because they show that you understand lighting and form very well.

As for documenting, you might try taking a photo in good light (diffused sunlight works well), instead of scanning.

Well _I_ really like those, at least! But I can't say for sure whether or not they're 'ArtSpots material', sorry about that.. Its not my job. ^_^;

I can say that you should do whatever necessary to make your images look as close to how they do in real life as possible. As long as your aim is to make your traditionally-done pieces look as close as possible to how they do when you see them in front of you, 'over-altering' shouldn't be a problem, you know? : ) That is honesty, not dishonesty.

Scribbles

Hey all! I was just wondering... most of the critiques here seem to be focused on anatomy, which is really pretty far from the emphasis of my art. I was wondering if I could see two things.

- Is this piece is decent ArtSpots material?
- Anyone knew how to better scan pastel pencil pieces? (This picture is almost 11x14 in real life... and trust me, it looks far lovelier in person). I hate over-altering traditional pieces digitally because it feels dishonest, but the scan is dishonest, too, it seems.
