Bonjour, my friends! Once again, Jonas is the Postmaster! And this time, the subject of the Trading Post is the raccoon artist himself!

Holy moley! I won again! :D

Well, for the next TP, I'd love to see how folks draw my avatar. I hope Inali won't mind if I borrow her convenient little character sheet...

JONAS

STATS

Gender: Male
Species: Raccoon (procyon lotor)
Anthro or Non-Anthro: Anthro
Body Type: Average to pudgy. Jonas is soft in the tummy.
Main Fur Color: A medium warm gray, becoming lighter around the muzzle, neck and chest.
Markings: Normal raccoon markings. This includes dark ears, the usual 'bandit mask' around the eyes, a shiny black nose, and dark 'socks' past his elbows/knees. Three rings on the tail.
Eye Color: The irises are black, the corneas are green, and the sclera (that's the part that's normally white) is a pale yellow.
Paw pad Color: Dark leathery gray.
Hair Color: Warm gray. There's actually no color/hue distinction between Jonas's hair and the rest of him. :)
Hair Style: Short, but kind of messy and floppy. See reference pics.
Clothing: In warm weather, Jonas wears a dark T-shirt and denim shorts. In cold weather, Jonas wears a dark T-shirt (usually red or black), black jeans, and an olive drab M65 U.S. Army field jacket, with Sergeant First Class insignia patches. No shoes.
Extras: A pair of rectangular, silver wire-frame glasses.
Personality: Jonas is basically me as a critter. Geeky, artistic, and possessing of an absurdist sense of humor and a tendency to irreverently mock things -- including himself.

INTERESTS

Core interests: GPS & navigation systems, surrealism, pop art, propaganda posters, weird Asian drinks, ghost towns & abandoned places, modern ruins, and 8-bit video games. Oh, and I love a good bagel. :D

TV Shows: Doctor Who, LOST, Naruto, Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann, and all of '80s Saturday morning. ;)

Music: '80s music, third-wave ska, bad punk covers, J-rock, alternative rock, house music, and outsider music. (If you're not familiar with some of those, look 'em up on Wikipedia.)

Books: Hunter S. Thompson, Philip Pullman, Stephen King, Ray Bradbury, and the Beat Generation (Kerouac, Burroughs, etc).

Hobbies: Geocaching, drawing, photography, and bad karaoke singing. ;)

Surely you mean that his irises (Iris being the goddess of rainbows and all) are green and his pupils are black. Corneas need to be clear to see through. ;)

Yaaaay my first Trading Post submission. :) Going with the Doctor Who thing. Hopefully Jonas didn't mean just the new Doctor Who as we're kicking it old school Tom Baker here. ;)

Here's my first pic for the trading post. I drew him playing a video game. Would've put more work in it but this week was really busy so I couldn't play around with it as much as I wanted to. :)

I have a piece in progress. Hopefully I'll be able to get it done in time! Is this ending on Saturday?

Maybe it'll be extended since there are only two. I hope so. I've been negligent...sorry Jonas.

I think it's mainly that it's getting down to finals week so a lot of us just don't have time.

Just when hope seemed to slip from view the heavens opened up and everything fell into place!

I aint a-scared!

Jonas, out geocaching, finally realises the implications of "Terrain 5".

(The jacket and sign were the most fun to do!)

I really like what I've seen so far, especially Sudan's! That just kicks ass.

And don't worry about it if you can't participate; I know December is a crazy month. :)

Oh no! A good background! I've been defeated! Hehe. Geocaching always sounded like a lot of fun though. Mental note to avoid "Terrain 5" ones if I ever try it. :P

Muchas gracias, Jonas! Having been dragged along geocaching quite a number of times, I've been waiting for the perfect opportunity to use this joke. ;)

But, dude! You've got DALEKS - I can't compete with that! D: On the geocaching, I've been along a couple of times, and I complained about Terrain 2's. XD But I'm a softy.
