K, making my sketchbook page. This is my first attempt at a more cartoony look that I experimented with. Feel free to critique the sketches however you want. :)

Another sketch I did while playing around. :)

Me trying to master the art of limbs. xD

Your limbs are missing a finger ... ;)

Looking good ... why not try some skeletons to get the angles down?

yeah, that's a good idea.

P.S. He's only supposed to have four fingers. The average cartoon has three and real humans have five so I went in between.

Hehe, I know ... I was just kidding around. ;)

Remember what I told you about learning the real thing -before- cartoonifying it?

Same goes for hands. Learn the anatomy of real human hands, draw from life and photos, and make sure you have a solid understanding of them, so that when you make them into cartoons, you have a strong base to draw from!

:)

I know, these are just my "cartoonifying" results. I have so many hand practices that it would take forever just to scan them all. :) These are mostly just hand gesture practices anyway.

more character sketches that didn't come out horrible. :D
P.S. Ignore the unfinished face at the top. xD

attempt at blowing wind on another one of my character sketches. Horrible face, I know, but just felt like putting it on here. :P

Cool! I see improvement already :3 Nice detail on the mouth of the top one!

I'm defiantly seeing improvement with your anatomy. You've getting braver too as your strength in fundamentals grow. I think this is perhaps the most detailed and engaging picture I've seen you post to date. You've got some form developing under those clothes! Great job and keep up the hard work and practice!

-Ebon Striped Tiggy "You gotta dance like nobody's watching dream like you will live forever live like you're going to die tomorrow and love like it's never going to hurt."

Thx both of you. I always draw the figure naked before I add clothes to the figure.
1) I could use the extra practice.
2) If I don't I'm horribly lost
But it's great to see all the nice responses. :D

K, I'm on a role with these sketches. I found one of my old pics with one of my older characters that I haven't drawn in forever. Well, I thought it turned out pretty nice. This is Adrianna the fox which is in my gallery if you want to compare them.

And a random sketch that I drew cause I got lost on what I was trying to draw previously and just started doodling.

Another random character sketch. Tried this one in 3/4 perspective and had him counting his fingers since I'm not good at drawing hands and fingers at all.

Drew this after giving my dog something off of the table. This is what happens for the rest of the day before they realize it was a one time deal. xD

Some animal sketches from off the computer. I was able to keep away from the wolves. xD

ok, here's a bit of an oldie that I did about two weeks ago. I really didn't like how his head came out but this muzzle really appealed to me for some reason. Gotta start drawing more again cause this week has been really busy so I haven't been drawing alot. I went two days without opening my sketchbook. :_( Started a few but I don't think they're really good enough to be posted. xD

Hmmms, yeah the muzzle seems too small for the head maybe and eyes aren't really lining up right it seems. Though on the plus side, I think those are some of the best hands you've drawn so far! Hehe.
