I was just wondering: do you guys think I'm good enough to do commissions?
I have seen people offering commissions of rather poor quality in the past (certainly not anyone here!), and I think maybe I could do a decent job on some commissions ... but I have trouble judging my own skill level, and I have never ever done a commission before (unless you count logos done for friends and whatnot) so I'm unsure.
See, I will be pretty much out of a job for all of March and then some, unless I pick up some extra hours at my OTHER job, because of store renovations. So I was thinking that I could use some of the free time I will have to offer a few commissions to the online world ... and also possibly make a bit of money to make up for the missed paycheques. :B
They would probably be digital, and look something like the pic I did for Kooky's trading post (see it here: http://fru.jaxpad.com/image/15368 ). I could also do simpler ones like this other I did for a different trading post: http://fru.jaxpad.com/image/4655
Another concern I have is, I have no clue what to charge, since I have never done it before.
Can you guys give me some advice? I know there are a ton of other commission-related threads already, and I apologize if I'm repeating a topic! But I want to get a general opinion. Would you commission me, or think about commissioning me, if I offered them?
